FBC welcomes Bro. Mike as Interim Pastor!
Mike Dawson began as our Transitional Interim Pastor on 12/24/23, upon the retirement of
Pastor J.C. Christian, who had served Spring Hill FBC for the previous eighteen years. Brother
Mike has done several Transitional Pastor roles in churches throughout middle Tennessee since
his 2005 retirement as Pastor of FBC Columbia, TN. While we search for a permanent pastor
during 2024, we feel very blessed to have him with us; we’re sure you’ll find Bro Mike to be a
dynamic and powerful yet practical and personally engaging preacher of the Gospel! He has a
pastor’s heart and will love meeting you; be sure to greet him when you visit us!
About Brother Mike: he is married to Jolene, and they have 3 grown children, 8 grandchildren
and 8 great-grandchildren—with two more great-grands on the way in 2024. He grew up in
Columbus, Ga and finished high school there. He is a graduate of Furman University in S.C.
(where he met and fell in love with co-ed Jolene King); he’s also a graduate of New Orleans
Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as pastor of churches in Alabama, South Carolina,
and Georgia, as well as Tennessee, and has ministered and preached extensively across the
USA and overseas.
